I have a 3 year old who is OBSESSED with Poppy from the movie "Trolls".
When I told her I wanted to crochet a Poppy doll for her birthday, she beamed with excitement. She helped me pick out the yarn and once I finished the body, I've had to take many breaks from my crochet so she can hug her doll. I often go to work on Poppy and find that she is "missing" haha. I think it's adorable that she has loved this doll since it was just yarn and stuffing.
I am currently working on Poppy's hair. It is taking a long time because I have to brush the yarn out with a wire brush. My daughter has been helping me with this. Every new addition I make for Poppy has my daughter squealing in delight. Every step has been like Christmas for her. She is constantly asking if Poppy is finished yet, and leaning to be patient when I reply, "not yet."
I will update this post with the finish product when I'm done.
I have really liked the pattern that I am using for this. I found it on Ravelry. It is a paid pattern and not mine.
